About Sushil Reddy
SunPedal Ride USA is a transcontinental movement sponsored by Oriden, an authorized provider of the power solutions brand Mitsubishi Power, to create awareness about renewable energy, sustainability, and the urgency of decarbonization.
Over the course of 100 days, Sushil Reddy will ride his solar-powered e-bike over 6,000 miles across the country as an onboard meter tracks how much power his solar e-bike generates.
Sushil is an IIT Bombay alumnus from the Department of Energy Science and Engineering and an HEC Paris Alumnus from the MSc Program in Sustainability and Social Innovation. Sushil has a mention in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest journey on an e-bike.
To power his e-bike, Sushil is using 50 Watts of solar panels on a retrofitted e-bike frame. As he rides across the U.S., the meter will record how much total energy his solar-powered e-bike has generated.
